Seeking Input for Proposed Bike Lanes on Blaisdell and 1st Avenue
On Wednesday, March 17th the Lyndale and Kingfield Neighborhood Associations hosted a community meeting in partnership with Minneapolis Public Works to discuss the proposed addition of bike lanes along 1st Avenue and Blaisdell Avenue.
The proposed changes to parking along 1st Avenue would add additional parking along the east side of the street from 38th to 33rd street. The addition of the extra parking and the bike lane would mean that the street would only have a single motor vehicle travel lane, instead of the two it has now.
Check out the full presentation from the meeting.
The Lyndale Neighborhood is actively seeking input from community members, especially those that live along 1st or Blaisdell on what they think about the proposed changes. It is expected that the neighborhood will adopt a formal set of recommendations at either the April or May General Membership Meetings. Questions and comments should be directed to Mark at mark@lyndale.org or 612.824.9402 x 16.
