The Butterfly Effect

Check out Lyndale’s own version of the Butterfly Effect. These butterflies were recently painted by local artist Sarah Steed on Kim Couch’s duplex on 35th and Pillsbury. Steed said she “loved painting Kim’s house. It was one of my all time favorite projects. He’s a wonderful neighbor and a joyful person. My goal was to make the butterflies a reflection of who he is and spread that joy to everyone who sees them.”

Kim was equally excited about the project and talked about how easy it was to work with Sarah and “how often people will stop & talk to me when I am in the front yard & thank me for beautifying their walk around the neighborhood.” He also said the inspiration for the butterflies was the Walldogs project and the impact he saw from creating public art.
