Summer Sampler and Music in the Park

Friday, May 8th

6:00 to 8:30 pm

Painter Park (34th & Lyndale)

This is a Rain or Shine event!

Join us for a great evening in the Park.  There will be ice cream from Sonny’s, music from the Brass Messengers, the Moonwalk bouncy thing, kid’s activities, and more!  The Brass Messengers are a Minneapolis/St. Paul outfit of eleven that plays whatever sort of music we can fit into our horns. Based around the Gypsy Brass styles of Romania, we have added our own take on American Country Music, Latin American Dance Rhythms and Afro-Pop.  www.brassmessengers.com.

You’ll also get a chance to talk to staff and volunteers from neighborhood youth organizations about their summer programs.

Volunteer Opportunity – We’re still looking for a few people who can help with set up, serving Sonny’s Ice Cream, and clean up.  To help out contact Sarah at 612.824.9402 ext 12.
