The purpose of the Lyndale Neighborhood Business Association is to provide a forum to bring together Lyndale businesses in ways that build connections between businesses, strengthens individual businesses, improves the economic environment of the neighborhood, and is a benefit to the community as a whole.

It’s finally time for one of the biggest and best Lyndale Events of the year – The Open House.  This year’s Open House will be on Thursday, March 19^th at the Lyndale Community School (312 W 34^th St.) from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. At this year’s Open House you’ll have the opportunity to figure out how you can be the change you want to be.

How do you become the change you want to be?  It starts by figuring out what you care about and how you want to improve our neighborhood.  Then you check out all the committee’s and other nonprofits who will be happy to get you plugged in.

It might be as simple as visiting the Crime & Drug Committee to see how you can help make the neighborhood safer or talking with the Environment Committee about how you can help make the neighborhood more sustainable.  Whatever you’re passionate about, there will be something for you.

This year’s Open House will feature more kid’s activities than ever before.  We’re also really excited about the great support we’re getting from local  restaurants.  This year we’ll be featuring food from: Butter, Champions, It’s Greek to Me, Gigi’s, El Meson, Uptown Pizza, Anodyne, Pizza Luce, Joy’s Kitchen, El Paraiso, Los Andes.

We’re also really excited about the Great Gatherings for this year.  Here is a quick list of this year’s Great Gatherings: An Evening in Spain, Lyndale’s Amazing Race, Cementing Memories for your Garden Parkway, Locavore, Oktoberfest, Ponside Morning Yoga, the Garfield Gala, Crafty Day, a Fall Fish Fry, and last year’s very popular Fun on the Farm Day.
