Get Money for Energy-Saving Home Upgrades!
The LNA is teaming up with the City of Minneapolis Green Cost Share program to promote funding opportunities for home energy efficiency improvements. Whether you are a renter or a home owner, the Green Cost Share program has something for everyone!
What is Energy Efficiency?
Doing more with less! Energy Efficiency provides the same standard of service with less energy. Switching to energy efficient appliances or upkeeping home weatherization is a great way to implement energy efficiency practices at home.
Benefits
Economic
You can lower your utility bill by lowering your energy usage. For example, weatherizing your home through weatherstripping or caulking can help prevent warm air from escaping, reducing the workload on your furnace.
Environment
An energy efficiency washing machine can use around 25% less energy than a standard washing machine. When you use less energy fewer carbon emissions are released ultimately benefiting the environment.
Indoor Air Quality
Swapping your gas stove for an energy efficient electric stove helps eliminate gas burner byproducts such as methane improving indoor air quality.
