We’re a quiet, safe, caring, and diverse community.
What do you see as the most pressing issue facing the Lyndale neighborhood, and how do you propose to address it?
Fear.
Fear of the Government.
Fear of Disease.
Fear of Disasters.
Fear of our Neighbors. Our small neighborhood group will not have the means to directly effect most of these fears, but eliminating fear of our neighbors is not only attainable at the local level, it’s our mandate.
By meeting our neighbors and learning our common grounds, we not only eliminate that fear, but may even make headway in reducing the larger fears.

How do you plan to engage with and represent the diverse interest and needs of the Lyndale neighborhood?
I am not an extroverted person. Reaching out and engaging with people takes me considerable effort.
I can use my feelings to help sculpt events to draw out other people who may also not feel comfortable meeting and talking with new people.
How do you plan to ensure that the Lyndale Neighborhood Association remains inclusive and welcoming to all residents?
Listening to and learning from my neighbors.

What do you like most about the Lyndale Neighborhood?
I love Lyndale's character, deep personality, food, and the sense of unspoken belonging I feel living in the neighborhood.
What do you see as the most pressing issue facing the Lyndale neighborhood, and how do you propose to address it?
To me, the most pressing issue is strengthening face-to-face interactions and helping people get to know each other in the neighborhood. I see so much potential for neighbors to connect on a deeper level and build lasting friendships and relationships. I believe neighborhood activities and volunteering can help facilitate those connections, and that is my main focus.
What specific skills or experiences do you bring that would benefit the board and the community?
My background in mental health counseling and education has shaped me into someone who is person-centered, curious, and focused on understanding others. I’m organized, outgoing, open-minded, and passionate about inclusivity. I believe these qualities and my experience working with people can help me contribute meaningfully to the board and the community.
How do you plan to engage with and represent the diverse interests and needs of the Lyndale neighborhood?
I plan to stay curious, listen to my neighbors, and learn more about their interests, perspectives, and needs. I want to use their feedback to inform my decisions and help support the broader community. The diversity of Lyndale is one of my favorite things about this neighborhood, and I believe our different backgrounds and perspectives are part of what make it such a special place.
How do you plan to ensure that the Lyndale Neighborhood Association remains inclusive and welcoming to all residents?
I believe there is power in numbers and that an issue affecting one of us affects all of us. Given everything our community has experienced over the past several years, I believe we have a shared responsibility to ensure everyone feels safe, respected, supported, and heard. Inclusivity isn’t just an idea or a value to me; it’s something we have to actively practice through how we listen, show up, and care for one another.
